Jennie Kwan was the first Asian actress that I remember seeing on TV in 1993 as Sam Woo in California Dreams. The show was ahead of its time with one of the most diverse casts in after school television. My California dreams came true when the cast reunited on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon in 2010. Kwan is still the bright eyed, talented, fashion queen that I’ll always idolize.
